Chartered on April 7, 1990, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Sigma Lambda Omega Chapter is a volunteer professional service organization comprised of college-educated women who utilize special skills and expertise developed from working life to implement programs of service. These services speak to a broad spectrum of issues and concerns within five program areas that are based on the community and global initiatives of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Our programs address the needs of the San Fernando Valley community and the Santa Clarita and Simi Valley communities. Inspired by a dedicated investment of human capital and a bold commitment to the principles of basic human rights, Sigma Lambda Omega devotes our talents and resources to this cause. Awareness, advocacy, and action are the primary vehicles for community and worldwide delivery of our service initiatives, providing excellence in leadership through timeless service.
